Pukaventana Scenic Lookout view hike

This half day hike is ideal for those who want to start their acclimatization walk with an easy and short hike but astonishing view surrounded on the top. Pukaventana, a colorful, eroded canyon, high above the city on its eastern side is a scenic lookout where you can get a panoramic view of Huaraz and the northern part of the Cordillera Blanca.

The total distance is 6km/3.7miles south east of Huaraz towards the area of Bella vista. We’ll hike on a good trail along the top of the hills and then make an easy descent back to Huaraz.Before returning to Huaraz we’ll enjoy some refreshing snacks take-in views of all Huaraz and the peaks of the Cordillera Blanca North such as Huascaran and towards the North east with views of Ranrapalca.  4 to 5 Hours hike.
